MORNING THOUGHTS
IMAGINE

The last weekend in January! Here in New England our January thaw is over and we are back in the deep cold with wind......
Even though we are going to shift gears a bit on Monday I am sure you will be adding new cards to you pile all the time. Where attention goes energy flows.

Take a quick go through your cards and toss any that are some one else’s dream for you and replace each one with something from deep within you!

Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal."

This is the last week of January. Now this is not to suggest that you will stop using your imagination next Sunday, No No No!! This is the time to really go wild. Think about this year, ten years form now and 20 or 30 or 100 years from now. What sort of a legacy do you want left behind. Will others take up your vision? And remember do not judge - just write! Reach deep into the center of your being.

This weekend try creating a vision beyond your wildest imagination! Think things you have never thought, write things you have never written (that’s what Dave Ellis teaches). Go deep from each card you already have. If one card is a bigger home. Write 20 - 30 or more describing the home, in detail. Get very clear in each area. Some will say: “But Jo, I love my life, it’s perfect the way it is.” That’s great - Now plan for growth!

I do hope you had a joyful and productive weekend - I did. The weather was beautiful in New England, at least on Saturday, and I got some long desired out side time. Some of you are most likely still enjoying the long weekend. Martin Luther King was a man with a dream. His vision was so powerful it lived beyond his life. That’s the kind of vision I want for you. Get out your cards and imagine the possibilities. I came up with several new 3 X 5 cards ---- I really want warm weather for more than a short New England summer..... I am letting my imagination run wild.

I hope you got your 3X5 cards! They really are a great way to start your journey. Ask yourself: “What do I want” write one answer on each card. No judgement! Ask the question about every area of your life, carry the cards with you all weekend and whenever you think of something write it down...... You can sort and edit later - for now write everything you think of!. Don’t worry about the why or how just yet! The more you know about what you really want the easier it will be to make decisions.

Is your imagination working overtime? I hope so! Are you writing all your ideas down so you can review you vision and have it pull you forward. Again I hope so! Are you a yellow pad person, 3X5 card type, do you use the your computer or maybe a journal? It doesn’t really matter!!! What ever works for you! I am going to ask you to think about converting to 3X5 cards at least for your beginning work. Think about it, go out and buy a few packs of cards and we will talk more on Friday.

Imagine what you could do if you KNEW that you were free. Today we are the result of the choices we made yesterday. Today’s choices create tomorrow...... Engage your imagination and choose well!

I just took a new look at my quote for this week. “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.” The impossible that Disney was doing, is now out dated. The earth isn’t flat, we can fly and who needs a wire to talk on the phone. The impossible comes from the imagination of a dreamer, a visionary, an ordinary person who is not afraid to think outside the box. As you build your vision don’t limit yourself by what you or others think is possible. If everyone did that, we would still be living in caves carving pictures on the wall for the next generation. No, for that we would need a tool! Do your part in bringing about evolutionary growth in our world society. The children deserve the best we can imagine.

What are you reading? One of my goals is to read at least twice as much as I did last year. And not just the marshmallow fluff, though that is fun! Why reinvent the wheel - find out what is working for others and build from there or invent something new. I love a book that compels me to think something I have never thought and inspires me beyond the written words.

It is official! The holidays are over and we are all back to work. Some of you have great plans set out for 2010 ( I congratulate you! ) and some are looking at the same piles you left behind on your desk in 2009. Most are probably in between. Maybe you have some good ideas that you haven’t written down yet or you have and think them impossible!
I challenge you to spend some time this week and really use your imagination. Come up with a vision that seems to be totally impossible, break it down into doable parts. Look at all areas of your life! Look at long term visions and short term targets. Look at where you are already great and where you need to change or grow. Take at least one hour this week to think about what you need to let go of in order to move forward.
Then start having some fun doing the impossible.
To paraphrase Henry Ford..... If you think you can or you think you can’t, you are probably right! I am thinking I can!!

I am about 35,469 ft. above the Rockies going 511 MPH! From this perspective the snow is rather beautiful when we get a quick peak through the clouds....... I did get out of Boston just in time and I will be very happy to spend the next two weeks in San Francisco.

Down by 10 at the end of the first quarter and not expected to win in the first place! They held their dream and played their game - WON their game. (31 - 17) They had the resolve to make it happen. Do you???

Nothing happens... but first the dream. Carl Sandburg
To hold the dream with out intention is but a dream always. Set your intentions to move toward your dream enjoying the journey and delighting in the inspirations that come your way. Let go of your blocks and negative self talk.
Wednesday, February 3, 2010
Want to and excited about, obligation and should......... be very careful how you set your intentions. When you set an intention and don’t follow through, you fall out of integrity with yourself and lose personal power. Pay attention to your language.
Monday, February 1, 2010
I hope you all had a great January and used the time well to continue your journey with passion and excitement! One of my 3x5 cards was to be in a constant state of learning. From that card I created many more. Then I did some brainstorming ---- Then I worked on ways to share my learning. And now I shall set intentions to move forward. This is going to be an exciting month...... Start sorting and expanding your cards......
Lets meet and get to know each other!
